Filson and Rohrbacher’s AtFAB 5-30 Minute Chair is among iconic works by Enzo Mari, Naoto Fukusawa, Hella Jongerius, and others in Oracles du Design exhibition this Summer at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris.
Curator Li Edelkoort, preeminent socio-cultural trend forecaster, selected 250 objects from 1968 to 2014 that ‘predicted the future.’ Edelkoort features our chair in the exhibition catalog, press release, international design media. In her essay, she cites AtFAB, as a champion of design, open source, and DIY. ‘Destined to become the cultural legacy of tomorrow.’
We are honored to find AtFAB situated alongside works by the very designers who have inspired us. As the only collaborative, open design in the exhibition and a first in the Centre national des arts plastics permanent collection, we are optimistic that this is only the beginning for open design. The exhibition runs through 16 August, and the catalog is available here.
